How much walking will we do?

Be prepared for walking tours in each city between 2-3 hours in length, as well as one day trip that will require you to be on your feet for a few hours at a time. This journey is ideal for those who enjoy leisurely city walking and are comfortable on foot for a good part of the day.

Where will we arrive and where will we depart?

You will meet your group at your hotel in Munich and say farewell at your hotel in Dresden. Transportation via train from Dresden to the Berlin airport on the last day of your trip is provided. Therefore, we recommend flying into Munich and out of Berlin once your trip has reached the minimum number of participants and you’ve received email confirmation. unknown node

Day 1: Arrive in Munich

Our journey begins in Munich, the heart of Bavaria and home to some of Germany’s most beloved Christmas markets dating back to 1642 and set in a magical alpine atmosphere. Arrive and settle into your accommodations, where your local German guide and Sojourness Curator will be waiting to greet you. Rest up before embarking on a walking tour through Munich’s charming old town, soaking in the festive ambiance. This evening, gather for a welcome dinner at a cozy Bavarian restaurant to kick off the start of your holiday adventure with your fellow travelers!

Trip Details

Cost & Payment

$3,659 USD per person for double occupancy. This includes a twin bed or queen bed in a shared room. If you are traveling solo, you will be matched with a fellow solo traveler. If there is someone specific you'd like to room with, there will be an opportunity to share this with us in our follow-up questionnaire after booking.

Single accommodations are available for an additional $1,075 USD if you prefer your own space. You are able to select this at booking.

At booking, you have the option to pay in full or in installments. Should you wish to pay in installments, a 25% non-refundable deposit will be due at booking, with subsequent payments of 50% due 150 days prior to departure, and 25% due 65 days prior to departure. A 3% processing fee is included in the price of your trip and is non-refundable. A .30 cent processing fee will occur at each transaction.

Trip Confirmation

This trip requires a minimum number of women to register in order for it to be confirmed. Once the trip reaches the minimum participant number, you will receive a trip confirmation email. We recommend waiting for trip confirmation to book your flight. 

Once you've received confirmation of your trip, you will also be sent your Prep Packet via email that includes helpful information about your destination, checklists, and recommendations. A Zoom meet & greet will also be scheduled.

Trip Insurance

Travel insurance is required in order to join this trip. Prior to trip departure, Sojourness will ask for proof of travel insurance, and has the right to cancel your trip with no refund if insurance is not purchased before departure. Such plan should cover Trip Cancellation or Interruption, Medical Expense, Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation, and Baggage. Travel protection plans can help protect you in the event of loss of non-refundable trip deposits and payments that result from cancellation or trip interruption (due to a covered reason such as injury or illness before or during the trip). It also helps with reimbursement for medical emergency costs (including very costly medical evacuation costs), missed connections and baggage loss. Travel Protection Plans including cancel for any reason coverage must be purchased in close conjunction with your travel purchase.
